| So this is your problem? I have your solution:
Cracked vac caps from autoparts stores cause vacuum and boost leaks. Since many Z owners have deleted or re-routed many, umm, unnecessary systems, we have a need for vacuum caps in multiple locations. Problem is simple rubber ones crack from heat and age. Here’s your solution:
With these:
I’m putting together a kit of EPDM rubber caps, 4mm and 6mm with constant tension zip ties. These caps are rated to 475°F and will not dry out and crack. They are also chemical resistant, so any splashes in the bay won’t affect them. EPDM is a very common material used in boosted car engine systems, for various components. My last test of this kit is to test boost pressure holding, which I plan to do tonight, before I begin selling.
I plan to offer this kit, with 7 of the 4mm and 4 of the 6mm caps, and 12 zip ties, more than enough to do a TT with all deletes, and plenty of spares for the NA guys, for $15 shipped and PayPalled in the US. Shipping to Canada will be available, although I may have some mules I could load up next month so you can save on shipping :)
Comments, suggestions welcome.
